1998
Creation of SOAGA
The West African Asset Management Company (SOAGA) was created following a political will and regional ambition, stemming from a decision by the UEMOA Council of Ministers of Finance.
2002
Start of activities
The West African Development Bank (BOAD) was mandated to create SOAGA, which started its activities in 2002 as the first sub-regional financial institution specialized in asset management.
2004
Official approval
A public limited company with a Board of Directors and Capital of Five Hundred Million (500,000,000) CFA francs, SOAGA was approved by the Regional Council for Public Savings and Financial Markets (CREPMF) under number SG/03-04.
2021
BRVM AWARDS recognition
Twice nominated at the BRVM AWARDS, SOAGA was designated Best Management Company in the UEMOA region in 2021.
